Through his unique facilitation style, Jon helps to rapidly build high performing project teams, typically while identifying tangible savings and addressing risks. Organisations typically use Jon early on in a project to help unite the entire team.

What to expect in a workshop?

All Jon’s workshops are engaging, highly interactive and bespoke. They are not wishy-washy ‘huggy’ workshops which avoid hard issues. Instead, the workshops are very ‘objective-orientated’ focussing upon the needs of the project, the required outcomes and the group whatever the size : Jon is equally happy working with a small group of five people up to large groups of 100. He combines and develops hard project management processes and applied psychology techniques to deliver results.

This pragmatic approach is applied to all Jon’s workshops.

Jon has run the following workshops:

  • At the start of each stage of a project
    senior management / steering group workshops
    design & development team workshops
    construction start-up workshops
  • Risk management workshops to increase certainty
  • Value engineering (VE) workshops to take out cost at design stage without detriment to function
  • Programming workshops utilising visual techniques which have helped reduced construction durations by up to 20%.
  • Mid-project and programme workshops to reinforce the team ethic and address emerging issues
  • Annual workshops within strategic alliances / frameworks for continuous improvement
  • ‘Lessons learnt’ workshops for improved performance on subsequent projects
  • Issue and conflict resolution workshops

Any of these can be delivered on an ad-hoc basis or in a systematic planned way at various stages in a project’s development. Jon can also combine sessions in the same workshop to deliver multiple objectives.

An experienced facilitator

Alongside his programmes of workshops, Jon can also act as the host facilitator for conferences. If desired, Jon can include some NEC and project management training in the agenda, as a prelude to the team deciding what and how to implement the good practice.
